How many firms of solicitors are partnered registered with ChallengeMy?
The number of firms partnered with ChallengeMy varies from time to time.
We don’t publish or disclose the full list of participating firms; this information is only shared with customers when a firm is relevant to their specific case.
However, all partner firms operate under consistent agreed membership terms and conditions other than those within partnership tiers (see pricing FAQ) and also meet ChallengeMy’s standards of professionalism, integrity and client care.
How does my firm partner with ChallengeMy?
We invite interested firms of solicitors to populate and submit the online form.
Thereafter, an introductory call will be arranged with ChallengeMy.
Should you still wish to proceed, you will be provided with a bi-lateral agreement to review and complete digitally.
Will my firm of solicitors have an engagement letter with ChallengeMy’s customer?
Yes. A standard bilateral engagement letter will be put in place between your firm and the client.
The draft engagement letter will also be shared with the ChallengeMy consultant supporting the client, who will help them review and understand the terms before signing.
How does ChallengeMy allocate cases?
For each customer case, ChallengeMy prepares a shortlist of law firms that best suit the customer’s needs and the relevant area of practice.
Priority is given according to each firm’s partnership tier and firms will only be shortlisted for cases that align with the areas of practice for which they are registered with ChallengeMy.
The final decision always rests with the customer, who chooses which firm they wish to instruct.
Is my firm guaranteed work by ChallengeMy?
No. ChallengeMy does not guarantee any volume of work or the number of cases a firm may be shortlisted for.
Are ChallengeMy’s terms / pricing negotiable?
No. All partner firms operate under the same terms and tiered pricing structure.
This approach ensures fairness, consistency and a level playing field across our network – so no firm is ever advantaged or disadvantaged on a commercial basis within the context of their respective tier.
Is my firm able to change its registration tier?
Yes. Partner firms can apply to upgrade their tier, subject to ChallengeMy’s approval and any applicable restrictions.
Firms may upgrade from Bronze to any tier, from Silver to Diamond, and from Gold to Diamond. Gold and Diamond partners are required to provide ChallengeMy with details of fee earning personnel on a monthly basis. All tiers can amend their registered areas of practice (subject to terms).
How does ChallengeMy’s pricing work?
Firms of solicitors can work with ChallengeMy by applying to become a partner.
All partner firms operate under the same terms and conditions, but four partnership tiers are available – Diamond, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Case allocation priority is influenced by a firm’s partnership tier and the areas of practice they are registered for.
Tier 1 – Diamond: Reduced monthly subscription fee (based on firm size and registered areas of practice areas) and a reduced percentage of legal fees payable. Restrictions apply.
Tier 2 – Gold: Monthly subscription fee (based on firm size and registered areas of practice) and a percentage of legal fees payable.
Tier 3 – Silver: Percentage of legal fees payable, limited to six (6) registered areas of areas. Restrictions apply.
Tier 4 – Bronze: Percentage of legal fees payable, limited to four (4) registered areas of practice.
Partner firms may upgrade their tier, subject to applicable terms.
What role will ChallengeMy play?
ChallengeMy’s role is to support its customers throughout their journey.
We help them articulate their challenge clearly, identify the most appropriate legal expertise and ensure engagement takes place on fair and transparent terms.
We remain involved as a point of continuity – receiving copies of written correspondence and, where appropriate, joining customers meetings to help maintain clarity and progress.
ChallengeMy does not have authority to represent or bind customers, but we are authorised to liaise with solicitors on their behalf to discuss their case.
Is ChallengeMy authorised to engage with solicitors on its customers behalf?
Yes. ChallengeMy’s customer terms and conditions providing us with a limited Power of Attorney to engage with solicitors on behalf of our customers. Note, however, that ChallengeMy is not authorised to bind its customers contractually.
